Shō was a self-taught artist who started to make woodblock prints while he was still in high school. During his career he made more than ten prints featuring flowers or birds. Twelve examples are shown here. Click on a picture to enlarge it. For some pictures Shō drew his subject accurately while for other pictures he used his imagination.
